When Moses sent 12 spies in the land of Canaan, only 2 came back and gave a good report.  Moses went with the 10 and the children of Israel wandered around the desert for 40 years.  The only ones who started the journey to finish it were the 2 spies who had the grit to give a good report, Joshua and Caleb.
